• Formed 1986 in Helsinki by Jariot (gtr), Kärtsy (voc+b) and Sale (dr)
  The original name "The Waltari" was later changed to "Waltari"
  
  Kärtsy (keys) and Jari (git) played together for several years already, e.g. they had a band called "the draculas"

1988

• First EP "Mut hei"
